F-Bass

The F-Bass story began in 1978, when George Furlanetto, a local luthier from Ontario, Canada started his own line of instruments, after years of professional instrument service & repair work. In the beginning the design of his instruments was more classic-oriented, but as time went by, George had evolved in his sense of instrumet-beauty to the pristine, incredilby unique style we can whitness today. The main need to shift the concept over the years was to gain acces to higher positions (frets), the design was bound to follow the evolution.

The most well-known bassist using George Furlanetto's instruments is Alain Caron - he plays ONLY F-BASSES. You can also find Marcus Miller playing a couple of them over the years (especially the fretless models), and many other great musicians being a part of the F-Bass club.

You can read more on George F’s instruments on his website. We strongly encourage you to pay us a visit, as we always tend to have one or two of these instruments in stock – and it’s a very special experience to be able to play an F-Bass.
